  1. I think that the it was not the best idea too spread the word. It could just be a good story to a non believer and not tell the news about God. There is some symbolism in Narnia Edmund was like Judas in some ways but did not die after he knew what he did. Susan and lucy could be Mary and Mary cried when Aslan/Jesus died. The turkish deilight would be like temptation that tempted Edmund/Judas to hand Aslan/Jesus over to the white witch/devil. BEN

I think that it was told wonderfully. He did the resurrection on the cross for Aslan dying in the stone table. And he wrote when Jesus Christ (Aslan) faced Satan (White Witch) and defeated Satan (White Witch). And personally I think it really made a difference in my life by explaining what he did for us and what he did for everyone. And it really could change someone and they could by like “hey I have heard about that in a book named the Bible”.

  3. I think he did a good job of telling the story. It was like the Bible but not the Bible. Aslan was Jesus and there was tons of other symbolisim in the book. I think c.s lewis got the readers attention. He used symbolism to try to make nonbelievers christians. I think it would work if you read the bible then read the book. To me it was good but to a nonchristian it's amazing. he did a really good job. collin

  4. I know because as soon as I heard about the White Witch and Aslan I thought
about Satan an God. C.S. Lewis did that to spread the word about Jesus by
using children books. There was a lot of characters that symbolized disciples
in the story. It was very effective spreading the message of Jesus.

I noticed the story of Jesus when Aslan died on the stone table for Edmund, then he rose from the dead just like Jesus died for us and he rose from the dead. The symbolism that I noticed was Aslan was like Christ, the white Witch was like Satan, and Mr. Tumnus was like desiple.I think C.S. Lewis is a Christian and he wanted to tell people about Jesus’s story in a fairytale way so people would enjoy it. I think C.S. Lewis wanted to tell the people that read the book about Jesus in a way they might enjoy it better than hearing it from another person. He might have thought they would say like “I think I have heard a story like this.” and then they might ask a friend about the story and the friend would tell them it is the story of Jesus Christ.

  6. The first thing I saw that related to the story of God was when Aslan died on the stone table for Edmund, which is related to when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. I think C.S. Lewis did a good job carring out the story of Jesus in a fiction book. Some symbolism I saw was Aslan(God), Witch(Satan), Witches army(demons), and Aslan's army(angels). C.S. Lewis did a better job than I can! The way he wrote the story is amazing.

  7. I personally noticed that it was like the same thing in our world as it is in Narnia. It’s like when Jesus died on the cross same as Aslan died. It was also the same by when Aslan rose again as Jesus rose again. It was showing the story of Jesus a little but if you didn’t hear about it ever in your life it would be a little harder to understand. Another thing that is alike in our world and in Narnia is that Edmund is a sinner just like us but then he learned about Aslan just like God draws us closer to him

  8. I think that Aslan is more like Jesus becuase he is the ruler of Narnia.Just lke Jesus is are ruler. And the white witch is like saten becuase they try to rule the would.I think that C.S. Lewis put that in the book for a reson to let other people know more about the Lord. And that is why the book is so amazing.

  9. When Aslen died insted of Edmund. Like when Jesus died insted of us. He is the ruler like Jesus is. The white witch is like satin. I think C.S Lewis made the book so some people could find out about the BIBLE.

  10. I personally read the story of Jesus in The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe by : this book always cheers me up, because C. S. Lewis is a great Christian. He writes great books about God, and tells the story of Jesus in a whole different way.
The symbolism is Jesus is Aslan, and the White Witch is Satan, the Witch kills Aslan on the stone table, which represents the cross.
I think C. S. Lewis did that to get a different perspective of the bible. C. S. Lewis meant to spread the message of Jesus by telling it a different way.

  11. I see the story of Jesus Christ in The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe because of the symbolism in the story. Some of the symbolism is that Aslan is like Jesus Christ the white witch is more like Satan. Edmund is like Judas because he betrays Aslan. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver are like disciples so is Mr. Tumnus. It is a good way to spread the word because a lot of people like The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe. noah

  12. I see Aslan as Jesus. I see the White Witch as Satan. When the Stone Table split it was like the curtains in the temple ripping in half. Just before Aslan died, they beat him and whipped him and shaved him. When Jesus died they whipped him and beat him and treated him VERY poorly just like in the book with Aslan. What really stood out to me and helped me recognize that there was a lot of symbolism in this book was when Aslan died and resurrected again. (Just like Jesus) C.S. Lewis is Christian and I think that it was awesome that he wrote this book like the greatest book of all time (the bible) only in a fictional version. I think that his book probably was effective in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  13. Aslan reminds me of Jesus and what he did on earth. When Aslan was killed on the stone table, it was like Jesus crucified on the cross. After Aslan died, he rose again like Jesus resurrecting.the White Witch is like Satan who tries to tempt us. I think C.S Lewis put symbolism in the Lion, Witch, Wardrobe to tell us a little about the Bible so that if anyone doesn't know about Jesus they'll want to read the Bible. Yes, C.S Lewis was trying to spread the word of God. ~Lianna~

    1. I agree with everything you said. I never thought about it that way. The prophceys from before time are the the prophets in the Old Testement that prdicted Jesus' birth, death, and resurection.

  16. Aslan being killed by the witch and coming back to life symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus. Also, the witch's forces that helped to kill Aslan were like the Jewish leaders that helped to kill Jesus. The stone table symbolizes the cross where Jesus was crucified, and then, after Aslan is dead and it breaks, it represents the temple curtain, that separates us from God.

  17. Lion is Jesus because when Aslan dies, he comes back alive. He also broke the stone table like Jesus. When he died on the cross he tore the curtain. And when the witch was making fun of Aslan it was like when the guards were making fun of Jesus. Lucy and Susan were like disciples of Jesus. Edmund was a traitor of Aslan. Witch is like a traitor of God . Aslan is like God.

  18. There is symbolism like when the stone table broke. That is representing the tomb rolling away and Jesus rising from the dead. I personally saw the story as when Jesus was hung and killed. I think C.S Lewis wrote the lion, the witch and the wardrobe to spread the gospel even more. I do not think that it effected the message of Jesus. Brodie

  19. I think that it wasn`t effective of sharring the Jesus , because if you don`t know the story of Jesus you wouldn`t notice the story in the book.

Aslan symbolises Jesus, the witch symbolises the devel, her army symbolises demons, and Aslans army symbolises angels.

  20. I dont think it was a good idea to have the characters symbolize Bible characters because non~beleivers might think there idols. Aslan symbolizes Jesus like when he died on the cross and came back alive. the stone table symbolizes the cuirtan when it split in half. the witch reminds me of the devil. also when aslan got beaten and wipped like Jesus. i think C.S. Lewis wrote a very good book.
